In order to maximize sales, we are going to employ the Show & Deliver method of selling on Blitz Day (September 17, 2005). Most Scouts and their families spend 60% of their time delivering the product and collecting money. This method makes it much simpler. Den leaders and parents can pick up popcorn at my house or I can deliver for this event anytime after September 12, 2005. Show & Deliver is really quite simple-here's how it works:
" Scouts sell via the traditional "Take Order"
method.
" When the sale is made, the Scout then asks the customer
if he/she would like their popcorn now. If so, the leader/parent
has it in their vehicle. ***Please note that chocolate products
are not available during Show & Deliver.
" The sale is complete and all in one visit!!
Show & Deliver gives the Scouts the opportunity to make an immediate sale, deliver the product and collect the money.
As an added incentive, each scout who sells popcorn to ten (10) customers will earn a hat.
It is my intention to have a "sample" hat available for display at our Pack meeting on September 20, 2005.
Hats for the scouts who have earned them will be available
for pick-up when the popcorn is delivered to the den leaders (October
29, 2005).

Unfortunately, we were unable to secure Walmart this year for
our Show N Sell. We also had some difficulties with the dates
of certain locations. Rest assured though, these show n sells
will be successful.
Saturday, October 15, 2005 is the last Saturday of the sale, and in Buffalo Trace Council it is Goal Day. This is the day to help your Scouts reach their goal. If a Scout sells popcorn to 25 different customers or more, then they have reached their goal!!
As an added incentive, each scout who sells popcorn to 25 or more customers will earn a "Goal Day" football jersey and a special commemorative patch.
It is my intention to have a "sample" jersey available for display at our Pack meeting on September 20, 2005.
Jerseys for the scouts who have earned them will be available
for pick-up when the popcorn is delivered to the den leaders (October
29, 2005).
